Recently we have just upgraded our boiler in our home after being in our home for almost 13 years. It wasn’t broken but it was not working as efficiently as it should be.
This was partly our fault due to how much we had looked after it during the years we had it. It was also down to old age, nothing we could do to stop that one!
However, the importance of investing in a good boiler combines to give you so many great additions to your home.
- Selling point – if you are planning to sell your home, having a good quality boiler that has been well looked after in your home is always going to be a bonus.
- Energy efficiency – There are savings to be had on your gas bill from the energy efficiency, we went from an F rated boiler to an A-rated boiler. Our savings over a few years will in effect pay for the cost of the boiler.
- Peace of mind – Trust me, with the winter months coming up, the last thing you want to be worrying about is whether your boiler is going to survive the winter months. We had ours done just as the colder months were rolling in and it has given us so much peace of mind, it was worth the investment.
Now, of course, this is not a small investment for your home. You need to do a bit of homework as to what boiler works for you and the company you are going to use. I took about 2 weeks to do the research into our boiler and the company we used. It was a big expense for us to pay out so of course, I wanted to make sure we made the right decision.
So far, so good. I am really pleased with the whole installation alongside our new boiler. It has just made such a difference to our home so it was a worthy investment.
