This time of my year is my favourite, I know it is likely to be cold and damp. However, it is the perfect time of the year to draw the curtains and light the candles and get cosy!
It is also my favourite time when it comes to fragrances, there is just something magical about the smell of Christmas during the colder months. The smell of cinnamon on a cold evening, whilst snuggling under a blanket can’t be beaten!
Here are some of my favourite winter fragrances for our home:
Cinnamon Stick – Yankee Candle
I love the smell of cinnamon, I know it is not for everyone. It is a smell that reminds me of warming winter nights. Over time I have tried plenty of candles out in our home, yet we always seem to come back round to Yankee Candles, their scent never lets you down.
Crimson Berries – Woodwick Large Hourglass Scented Candle
We discovered WoodWick a few years back in Boots since then I have been hooked. There is something calming about the crackling sound of wood cracking as the wick burns. If you are after more scents past Christmas, you should try out their summer sweets candle, it is so nice and as it burns through the fragerance changes.
Mulled Wine soy wax candles
If you are looking for a candle not made by one of the market leaders but are looking to support a smaller business, this homecrafted mulled wine candle will be the perfect candle for your home. It is 100% vegan too and made from soy wax. Mulled wine is a smell that so many of us associate with Christmas so I’m sure this will be a big hit this Christmas.
I would love to hear what your favourite fragrance is for winter in your home, as many of us start to prepare for my favourite time of the year, it may be a little different this year. That doesn’t mean you can’t make it magical!
