There is something very calming about the sea and its surrounding areas, so it is no surprise that lots of us decided to bring that calming effect inside our homes with nautical-inspired home decor.
If this is something you are looking to do, you are able to do this though without looking like you’ve turned your home into a seaside shop! However, there is so much to pick from these days, where do you start? There is no need for you to have lots of boats and seagulls in your home to bring the seaside in, you can start with little pockets of colour to do this.
Here are my favourite nautical-inspired home decor items that will bring a little calm to any room of the house:
I absolutely love the pop of colour from these bottles, they take you back to the seaside without the need to reference it as such. These could be used in pretty much any room of the house and would look great as they are.
If you are looking for something that gives you a bit more impact on the seaside, then this mirror is it. Although it is very much of a seaside theme, it’s neutral colours will allow the light to bounce around the room still. Giving you the best of both worlds.
I absolutely love these coasters and they are part of a set of other fused glass items too. These would be perfect in any home and the glass design brings a touch of style along with its wave of colour.
These are on my wishlist for when we move home in the future, I can’t wait to find a place for these to live!
This is one of the more expensive items, but wow it is so worth it. Hand-blown glass and crafted with a lot of love, these hurricane lamps are absolutely gorgeous.
I love the fact that each one is hand made so you will never get 2 matching ones. I can just imagine these on a gorgeous dining table with the coasters above, bringing the seaside and its calming nature to any home.
As I said before, you do not need to overdo this at all, just little pockets of the seaside brought indoors to a neutral room can bring nautical-inspired decor into any room.
