2020 has been one hell of a year and for many of us, Christmas 2020 will not be how we imagined it would be. That doesn’t mean the festivities have to stop though, it just means that this year they are going to be slightly different.
I love Christmas, it is one of my favourite times of the year. there is just something I love about the warm cosy nights and the twinkly lights. It is the perfect excuse to bring out the throws and turn down the lights in the evenings.
If you are the same, I have been looking around for some of the best decorations on the market this year and sharing some of our personal favourites. Last year we treated ourself to a new Christmas tree but also a new colour theme. After spending so long being red and white, we changed over to pinks, blush and champagne colours and I love it. For the first time ever also we stepped away from tinsel on the tree and just packed out our tree with baubles!
The baubles we selected were from John Lewis and they were reasonable in price too, £25 for a pack of 40 baubles that were a good size. They come in a range of colours too, so perfect for your home.
As many of us are unlikely to be able to see family and friends as much as we would like too, making your home somewhere you are able to create happy memories with your family is going to be all the more important.
I’m planning on bringing out the festive scents as soon as I can get away with it, you can’t beat the smell of cinnamon around Christmas time. I am also looking to revamp some of our decorations with some gorgeous new decorations for our radiator covers. It has been a while since we brought our previous garlands and this year I want to bring them back with a bit of our new colour theme included, so if you see a pink/blush themed garland please feel free to share in the comments below!
